Chiba University of Commerce Assignment: Report on Your First Weekend in Hawaii! What did you do?

Good Morning Chiba Students! Today is Thursday, February 21. Tomorrow is "Aloha Friday."

This is when people like you and me go to work or class before the weekend arrives. It's time to relax, recharge and take a break. Everyone works hard in Hawaii, so our weekends are very important to us. After all, it is a fast-paced world we live in. Classes and work take up much of our time.  Did you know that the weekend is only 60 hours? It's true!

In today's class your task is to plan your first weekend in Hawaii. Start with your Friday afternoon and evening activities and conclude with Sunday evening before you go to sleep. Think about the fact that you are in Hawaii. There is no snow to worry about!

We have beautiful beaches and the ocean all around us. There are beach activities, restaurants, hiking trails, world-class shopping and so much more to choose from. Try something new that you have never done before. Most of all have fun! There is no such thing as doing nothing.

On Monday each of you will stand in front of the class. In English language deliver a 3-4 minute report on what you did over the weekend. Share with us details of your activities, as well as your impressions.

You may develop a written outline to help guide your presentation. You, write a script. If you wish to, send your outline or script to me by email. I'll make corrections and send it back to you. You must send this to me by 6pm on Sunday night. Grammar, pronunciation, nonverbal communication, time limits, enthusiasm, structure and substantive details will be most important.

Finally, please click this link and read this article. Thank you and good luck!
