Reminder: KCC and UH Classes Start Monday, January 9. Expect Crowded Buses

Good Morning! Rise and Shine Baewha Women's University Students!

Starting Monday, January 9 the city buses to and from Kapiolani Community College (KCC) and the University of Hawaii (UH) will be very crowded.

Why? Spring Term 2012 classes start for regular students attending most colleges and universities in Hawaii. Traffic will be much heavier than usual, too.

Be prepared! I strongly suggest that you leave much earlier than usual so that you will arrive on-time for class.

Please check the bus schedules and plan to be at the bus stop earlier. Since you ride the #3 Bus check that route in particular.

There is an alternative to riding the #3 Bus. You can board the #23 Bus (Hawaii Kai) at Ala Moana Center. Walk along Kapiolani Blvd. to Keeaumoku Street. You will see a KFC restaurant. Walk across the street at the restaurant towards Nordstrom's. Walk past Nordstrom's towards Ala Moana Mall. Cross Kona Street, then turn left. Look for the sign that says #23. When that bus arrives at 6:40 a.m. or 6:50 a.m. board that bus. It will take you through Waikiki, past the hotels on Kuhio Avenue, then the Honolulu Zoo and Kapiolani Park. You will ride past the park with Diamond Head Crater on your right. Disembark the bus at Kapiolani Community College, which will be on your left. That's it!

Remember that KCC's cafeteria will be open -and very crowded.

One good thing about all this is that you will have new opportunities to make new friends with American and other international students! Good luck!
