Greetings KTC Summer 2012 Students:
As your final team assignment for this course you will work in a team of 3-5 students. Your task is to first produce a four-night (4) round trip itinerary travel package for a customer or customers departing Seoul, South Korea for any destination in Hawaii. That could include Oahu or other islands in the Hawaiian Islands. You will need to choose an niche market such as traveling backpackers, family, wedding, business travel, military, college students, festival participants, convention, retired seniors, and so on. You choose your travel dates.
Include in your itinerary prices that are inclusive of taxes on airfare, hotels, meals, transportation, interisland flights as applicable, daily activities and other expenses.
There's more! Collect your information and present this as an advertisement as if you were on a live, televised home shopping network show in South Korea. Your task is to use your powers of persuasion to market, promote and sell your vacation package to a television audience. Your presentation should be 5-8 minutes. You need to build enthusiasm and interest in your audience, causing them to want to call and book travel plans for the package you have created. Your job is to represent the travel company and make lots of money.

On the day this assignment is due you will:
1) First, present your itinerary to a live audience at Kapiolani Community College.
2) Second, present your marketing campaign as an advertisement/commercial. Be sure to use photos, music and other methods of creating an experience, one that will cause your TV audience to want to pick up their phones and make reservations.
3) Be sure to thank your audience and be ready to answer their questions.
You will have time to work on this during class time. Brings your laptop computers. Also, do research on your own time by going online, visiting tourist kiosks in Waikiki, and speak with tourism professionals. Be creative and have fun with this assignment. Good luck!
